How Many Times Can You Retake Series 65?

​You can retake the Series 65 exam as many times as needed to pass. However, there are mandatory waiting periods between attempts:​

• Third and Subsequent Attempts: After failing the exam three times, you must wait at least 180 days before retaking it. ​

It’s important to note that these waiting periods apply specifically to the Series 65 exam. If you fail the Series 66 exam, for instance, the waiting period applies only to that specific exam and not to others. ​
